Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern access to and use of Clicbase, a managed backend platform (PostgreSQL database, API, authentication, storage, realtime, emails). Any use constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. The service

For each project, Clicbase provides an isolated PostgreSQL database and a set of managed services. The features of each plan are described on the Pricing page.

3. Account & free trial

  • Creating an account grants a 7-day free trial with no credit card, extended to 30 days if a card is added.
  • The trial and plans have no commitment: cancel anytime.
  • After the trial, a paid plan is required to continue.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

4. Subscriptions & payment

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions with no commitment, automatically renewed. Payment is made by credit card or PayPal, through a secure payment provider. Prices are listed on the Pricing page, in US dollars.

5. Termination

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; no further charge is made afterwards.

6. Non-payment & account lifecycle

If the trial ends without a subscription, or a payment fails, the account follows a gradual process, never an abrupt deletion:

  • Grace period (7 days): read-only access.
  • Suspension: project offline, data retained, reactivable by paying.
  • Deletion: after 30 days of suspension, a final backup is kept for 30 days then purged at the end of the legal retention period.

7. Availability & scheduled maintenance

Clicbase uses reasonable means to ensure service continuity and performs daily backups. The service is provided “as is”; maintenance interruptions may occur.

Infrastructure renewal: each server undergoes a scheduled renewal, typically every 24 months. Switching to the new server may cause a brief interruption, from a few seconds to a few minutes, for the duration of the switchover. These operations are planned and, whenever possible, announced in advance; all data and backups are fully preserved.

8. Liability

You are responsible for the content and data you host and for its compliance with the law. Clicbase's liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Personal data

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes & governing law

Clicbase may update these terms; users are informed of material changes. This agreement is governed by French law as applicable in French Polynesia. Failing amicable resolution, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Papeete (French Polynesia).
